The Parable of the Talents is often linked to New Testament writings concerning spiritual gifts and the proper stewardship of those gifts -- gifts and talents on loan by God. But then, there is a picture of a harsh master whom seems nothing like the God most of us know. So, it's one of those stories that often leaves us conflicted. But maybe this is not a story about a harsh master, but one of trustworthiness and faithfulness.
